D'Arbonne this weekend.

Hey, this may be my first post on the LA site but I look on here sometimes to see if anybody's doing any good on Lake Erling, and I do try to contribute to the site, I'm definitely not a lurker. My daughter lives near there and I see a lot of LA fishermen there. But I was wondering if anybody could offer any advice on where to fish on Lake D'Arbonne this coming weekend. My daughter rented a house on the lake for a little weekend get a way with the family starting this Thursday, I think it's on Green Bay Road, not that that matters, because I'd rather drive to where I need to fish then to fish close by for convenience. Anyway, I've never seen the lake and I'm clueless to say the least about where to even start, even to put a boat in. Any help would be appreciated. I'm set up to do about any kind of fishing method that could be suggested, well with exception of maybe dynamite or electroshock, I haven't tried those yet. Feel free to PM me so as not to give away the farm, so to speak. Again any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What part of the lake is the camp house on? Don't have a clue to where Green Bay road is

Edit: I found it...we have caught fish in the past where I have the circles. This weekend they could be in 1ft or still deep. There are plenty of shallow areas with Cypress trees and grass around those islands and if they are a little deeper the other circle may provide some fish. Good Luck!

Well, according to Google Maps it looks like it's on the west side of the lake just below Hwy 2 starts maybe about a mile south of Hwy 2, then goes a ways, I don't know exactly where on the road the house is. Maybe this will help. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gr...742aa46d659cf6

Hey Barneyrb, I just now saw your Edit. Thanks for the information. I'll admit I was a little disappointed that it appeared that only one guy had offered any help, but I want to say thanks to you and Rick who sent me a PM, and CrappieGreg. Hey if you guys or anybody else will put us on some fish for this weekend I'd gladly pay a $100 for some info that will produce enough fish to make it a good time form my family. We just want to have a good weekend away and hopefully catch some fish. If someone wants help out please call my cell number 870 613 3033. Sorry more guys aren't piping in Bobby. That's not like us folks here. I know nothing about that lake, otherwise I'd let you know. I don't have Freebird's (David Freeman) phone number - he'll know. Maybe someone here will pm it to you.

I'm still learning where to fish the bone this time of the year. Make sure you get some shiners and fish near the bank. I would try Stowe Creek, Terrall Island and Bear creek. You should be able to find some fish. Hope this helps.

Hey, don't get on this site much anymore. I asked for help in Mississippi and really got no replies either. Tell where you will be on the lake and I will help you as best I can.

Go shallow and in the coves, fish the banks with a cork or jig the trees. You will see lots of people doing both and also spider rigging in the shallow waters. Wind will be tough. Heading to the lake in a little while. You can text me at 318-376-4361. Jim

You have lots of shallow water across the lake from where you are at. Go jig those trees near the bank, or try the other two methods. Anderson Store in town might be able to help you also. Jim

I was there today. Wind was tough alright. Hard to fish shallow when boat is being pushed around too easy and such.

Water was 72 and dropped to 71. I found thousands of fish in the main channel. Literally. I have a screenshot I'll post later.

I never got a crappie bite. Heck I couldn't get a bass bite either and I was on them at one point. Big topwater strikes. Buzz frog and white fluke failed me. Could be the front.

Anyone got any last minute ideas? Going again tomorrow. Using a pink head, black/chartreuse jig and live minnows. At 1ft below cork. Tried shallow. Tried deep, tried docks, etc. Only bite I got were two stolen minnows.
