Good job Jack. River crappie are always more impressive to me! Caught my personal best in Long Lake last weekend. There's a report if you go back a page or two. Was the Trent running high at all? Don't think the Black's ever going back to normal stage. Fine looking cooler, couple males in there looking handsome with their black suits on!
I love when the males put on their warpaint!
FF, I saw those fish they were as good as you'll typically catch in these rivers. To answer your question on the Trent, the water was extremely low. That big water will blow out into the ocean, if the wind blows from the west or southwest. It did on Friday and the water went out of there like you cant imagine. Even considering the full moon, there wasn't enough water to launch at one ramp Saturday morning.
I was wondering what the fishing is like on the Trent near Trenton its on 58 up always from Maysville, any striper in that part
CT, most of the striper fishing is done closer to downtown New Bern around those bridges. I did see folks out at the mouth of the Riverbend canal fishing for them in the river also. I think you meant up 58 from Pollocksville. The White Oak river runs through Maysville.
Nice catch!
