Has anyone ever done this? Been looking at glare shades for my 899 online but haven't bought one yet. Was in the boat today reviewing a recording and had terrible glare and just grabbed the screen cover and snapped it on. Fits perfectly and worked great to stop the glare. Everyone has probably been doing this forever but was excited by how well it worked and figured I would post.

contact podunk ideas or rvinc on here he's got a thing called da cover holdit that makes what you're trying easy. it attaches to the gimbal mount and cover and allows you to put cover on or raise it up like your pic and you don't have to worry about it blowing off.
Very invented but a little late. da cover holdit - Podunk (po dungk) A small isolated town, region, or place that is regarded as unimportant. . . .
Ha, nice! I figured others had already done it just happy I had a way to shade it. Rickie's stuff is great should have know he would have come up with something.
