No they were already dyed like that.

Brett - You actually dye the whole tail not just the tips, but they can be a pain!! Learning how to dye is actually fun, but some prefer to buy certain things already dyed.

Would be nice if you had a gray squirrels tail as well. With that white and black would be an awsome grey ghost
