I sure have enjoyed this fish-cation. I'm yet to really whack the fish but it's been a blast none the less.
Wind forecast for today was for gust up to 20mph. No sense in driving to Farmerville to fight that. Time for some Bonne idee action.
After McKenzlie's trip all the kids want to go. I tell em get in line. This may take a while. Today is Madison's turn.
We had to wait out a thunder storm this morning before we could put in. Fished from 7:30 to 12:30.
Water still muddy, but it always is in spring. Temp 68 to 70 but males still aren't stacked on the bank. We kept 13 crappie but only 5 of those were males. We caught more females on trees and brush than we did males. What's up with that???? They haven't spawned yet and even if they had I should still have at least 5 males to every female fishing wood on the bank like I was. Black and pink was the flavor of the day.
Madison is one of our three fosters that will eventually be Watt's once all the court stuff is done.
