I dedicated a single box with 20 compartments to this Thumper fry bait and this color now fills the last open compartment.

I'm really liking this one and its purple cousin from the other day.

ctom How does tell action work on that plastic bait .
The baits are 2" long and the action is pretty aggressive, meaning that tail really has some moves to it. I do better casting these where there is current rather than idle water, such as in a lake. I don't fish these under a float....all cast and retrieve. These baits like 1/16 to 1/8 ounce heads. 1/32 is just too small. I make an eye-forward swimming jig using a 35 degree leg and eye that makes these baits swim like an Olympian.
I don't pay much attention to water temperature any more other that to maybe give me an idea how deep to start snooping for crappies, and this particular bait is a dandy when used as a search lure. You can cover a ton of water quickly with this bait and if fish are suspended at this time of year they'll be eating. The bait is a perfect size for this application.
Good looking pour. Great color.
