Ice fishN report 12-30

Went out for some backwater panfish action with Jack. The ice was starting to get soft with open water all around too, but the water was only 3 ft deep. The bait I was using was a tiny jig with a lobybaits mousi pink bubblegum.

working the mousi, the fish were right under the ice, you could sometimes see them inhale the jig!

Actually I was wishing I had brought a long rod, there was plenty of open water I could have fished there and probably woulda got more...
