Thinking about doing a self boat rental at a European distination last year

This is intriguing to Ann and I. As you fellas know, we're not into cruises with thousands of other people on the same boat, or stay somewhere riding up and down elevators to get to our room. Move at a leisurely pace, stop when and where you want, do what you want whenever. Doing the math, cost per day is reasonable. Nice boats to boot, all kind of options, etc. All my stuff is in one place as we tour around :). Get off here and do this and that - if we wanted to. Very interesting:

That does sound cool!! That woudl be nice to do your own thing....And Im sure they would frown against dropping a fishing line off the back of a cruise ship.... :biggrin

Thought so to fellas. Ann is somewhat concerned about crime, etc. in the unpopulated areas. I won't be able to pack a pistol when we go (not that I have any firearms around here :rolleyes:). Sent off for some hard print information. Will research some more, that's why it won't be until next year. We haven't been overseas for a few years now. I appreciate your comments, so I know it's just not me thinking of such an idea as this. Thanks.
