Poverty Point 3/24/2015
Let me just say Oh My Goodness!!! 75 Boats at the North Launch, 25 Boats at the South Launch, 2-3 Fisherman per boat, Shiners and Jigs flying everywhere, boats constantly moving trying to find fish,..............NO FISH. What happen? Where did they all go? Water Temp. was 61 Degrees. One fellow come by me and I ask him where the fish were at. He said, "All these boats gottem' skeered to Death!!!" LOL!!!. I still enjoyed being on the water.

Glad you were able to enjoy yourself. Not all have that outlook.
-
For whatever reason they have slowed down. I only managed a good mess this past weekend. I noticed that a certain log jam was very popular I think I lost count a six boats. I have caught my monsters over there for the year probably heading another direction to avoid the crowd if that's possible. However nobody has been rude or anything. Great fishery hope they start biting for everyone.
-
Still beats what I was doing today.
-
I'm not into all that boat traffic at all, regardless of what fish are being caught. Not going to do it, no way. I have my fun just fine without that.
-
The crowd is outrageous!!!!! The internet has turned fishing into surfing the net for information. It's a **** shame.
-
Yea the parade of boats started about 2 weeks ago.. Insane .. I fished the lake the week of the 10 th and for two days I was only boat out there.. Now it's crazy. I fished until dark today and found one stretch of a bank were I picked up 30 nice fish..most males but a couple of big girls..not sure why the numbers are down this year.. Who knows they may go crazy any-day
-
The crowd is bad for no better than the bite is and I've seen it like this lots of times but some of that is due to everywhere else being high and muddy
-
You could take all the people I talked to today and add their numbers together and it wouldn't total 30. And considering how full the parking lots are I talked to a lot of people. Bob that was me that came by you yesterday evening in the blue xpress. I was too far past ya before I realized and wasn't gonna holler across the cove.

Bob you did well. I haven't had any luck on the bank In the mornings
