North River, March 21, 2014

I went to the North River on Saturday and fished for about five and one-half hours. I got a late start and didn't have most of my lines out until 9 am. I said most on purpose, because I never got them all out that day due to a little aggravating luck. Before I could finish with them all, I was blown into the lay downs and ended up starting the day with a 5-pole tangle that I never got untangled until after noon. The luck didn't stop there, and after two snapped rods later on and another pulled overboard by a humongous fish (must have been, I swear!) here is what I brought home for dinner:

I left them biting real good, at about 2:30 pm.

Good Lord Dean! the hex hit Your boat! I have started off with the mass tangles before but have not lost a rod and broke another one all in the same day! I would have been like that dude on that old fishing commercial that was ripping off his trolling motor and kicking off his fish finders just slingen a good ole fashion hissy fit. At least You caught some fish.CF

But remember Dean, a bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work. Sorry for all your troubles on the water.

I try to not let the bad stuff whup me...otherwise, too many days would go down the drain!!!

Yeah. do it again. Keep it up though and You will run out of rods! :yikes:RoflCF

Nice mess of fish. Bad day fishing? As long as I'm catching it is a great day fishing!
