fish finder
Last trip out my Lowrance Mark 5x was making a ticking noise from the transducer the entire time. Not sure why. tried to turn off and back on but noise would come right back. If anyone has experienced this any help would be greatly appreciated on how I can make this stop. Thanks.

You can't that is the signal it's sending out

I never heard it before. Will the noise scare the fish ?

I can hear it in the boat. My wife let my two year old play in my boat the other day and then I started hearing the ticking noise. Just trying to see if there is a setting to adjust. Read the instructions but they don't say anything about it?????

My last boat, sometimes I could hear it and sometimes I couldnt. I think it had to do with the water conditions... transducer position..or how far down it is in the water..i dont really know. The ticking is normal...turn it on out of water and hold your hand on the bottom you can feel and hear it. thats the sound that it sends out and how long it takes to return gives the depth.

I've never had a problem but some guys seem to think so. Bait fish make a similar sound under water if you have ever dived and heard them.
