I got this mold off a fellow c.comer and he weighed the lead part of the jighead (he didn't have a hook to fit the mold) and it weighed 5.7 grains which is approximately 1/75 oz. I was just curious with a #8 sickle how close I would be to 1/64 oz which I use a lot. It's a nice looking jighead and I'm excited about tying some kiptail jigs on it. Here is the jig by the way

i can weigh one for you today and get back. Don't think it will add very much! I will see if I can tell you the weight in grains, but not sure that is an option with my scale, just never used that so don't know if it's on there. However I know I can give you a decimal for it and maybe a fraction? I will see.Quote:

Va I am sorry, but my digital scale only has 3 decimal and I didn't have a #8 hook without the lead. Anyway here is what I did to find out that is not going to make a difference hardly at all. I took a #6 and weighed it and then a #4 Sickle. Actually I couldn't get the #6 to even get off of 0. However I got a weight on the #4 which I think will give you enough for an answer that is close enough. The #4 just weighed .005 Oz which means that is 1/200 Oz. So I summarize by saying if #6 will not give me a decimal answer and the #4 is only 1/200 Oz then the difference in a #6 and #8 are not going to be anything that will make a difference at all!
