Florida bound
:fish Well it is finally here. I leave at 7 Friday morning for Florida and the Okeechobee. Will be with same guys that I went with last year. Hope we have as much luck this year as last, especially with the Oscars. My goal this year is to catch (or try to catch) one on a fly rod. They hang out in the lily pads so first I got to get a fly where they will hit it, them figure out how to get him out of the pads. Should be fun.

I'm sure you will catch plenty on the fly rod. Have a great time Ray and keep us posted. Drive careful and watch your back riding down. I'm sure somebody will spot you out in the morning and we will see a pic in the afternoon of you going down the interstate. LOL!! Again have fun and catch a bunch of fish.

Good Luck Ray. Have a great. And a safe trip.
-
Good Luck and remember, we like pictures!
-
Have a safe trip Ray and hope y'all have a great time.

Good luck Ray, send pictures, be careful and bring home a mess of fish.:popcorn

I am traveling under a cloud of secrecy in the early morning darkness. I am riding with someone else and my Florida buddy is meeting me down there, so doubtful there will be a "Searay Spotting". But, this is a resourceful group with long reaches so it is possible I might get spotted sneaking from Dooley's at 6:30 to West Columbia.
Tight lines guys.

Have a safe and fun trip Ray and catch a boat load of fish. From what I have been reading the crappie are in the pads on the big O. Just a thought.
-
No pictures, no truth in the story. :-) Safe trip, Ray.
