LOP 3/15
The lake is over 5ft high, the channel markers are about 1 foot from being totally submerged. I fished today and didn't catch a fish. Water temp is 58-60 in 8 fow.. I am pretty depressed right now. Everything is flooded out. I fished everywhere I have caught them in past.really don't know what to do now. Any suggestion? I fished from 1-8ft. Not a single bite.

Have not had much luck either with all the fresh water and high lake levels. Water temp still a little low on main body. Did have some luck night fishing though up one of the creek channels. Might try a little night fishing.

It just blows my mind though. Not a single bite and water is 60 in 8 foot.

I had a hour or so to burn today so I went to lake Gladewater. It's close, probably 10 minutes from the house. Water temp was 68-75, didn't catch a single crappie... I think I may take 2 weeks off and then quit.

Our fishing was like that here in Arkansas on Lake Erling but they finally started biting in the creek in 10 to 13 fow. Caught a limit Friday in the rain, had one to go 2.7 lbs. One of my friends caught some up close to the bank in the grass so maybe LOP will turn on soon.

It's like that everywhere. Even in Somerville. I think the fish are at the correct depth but higher due to the water levels. I think they are moving to spawn and are closer to creek channels and flats.
Hope you get some soon!

I'm going tomorrow. I'll let yall know how I do.

They have not bee kind here either at least the couple times I even checked. Weather has sucked so bad that I have not been many time and only have caught a few. This lake is also over full, but when they opened the flood gates they just quit after just being in and biting for 2 days. Now they have 9 gates open 3 foot each and the lake so far is still rising! This has been a really bad spring so far for me. I just hope the weather will get better like it looks and they get use to all that extra current, not usually much this time of year so think it's got them upset!
Good Luck,

Time to start pounding the shorelines back in the protected coves that face south. If this suggestion produces, share.

Yes have heard some caught crappie on the bank last weekend here. Our lake has finally started to come down a little and our flood gates (9 of them) open 3 foot each! I think the current is bothering them a lot as they are not use to this much water being dumped. So the people down South of here are probably floating to keep breathing and not drowning.
