Help please...
Over the winter I have completely rebuilt my boat as well as added the LSS2 td to my Touch 7 and also installed a Motorguide Xi-5. I'm trying to go back through the installation process on the touch screen, and one of the things to select is the transducer type. I know that the Motorguide has the 83/200 built in, and I will be using it for my sonar. I also know that the LSS2 uses 455, but the only thing I saw in the selection guide that is close was for 83/200:455/800 HDI. Is this what I should choose?

I just added an LSS2 to my HDS 7 touch. I did not change the setting for the 2D.(83/200/455/800)
The LSS2 is on a different cable to the DF and I think when it is connected the side scan and down scan default to the LSS2. Played with mine for the first time and I am not getting the clarity and object identification that I have seen posted. I obviously need to tweak my setting. I ran beside a dock and the pilings showed up as very thin lines almost unintelligible so I must not have the gain or something set right.
I am referring to the side scan images. The down images are fine, but I was using them on the other transducer before I added the LSS2.

Like you, I had the 83/200 455/800 td to begin with. Are you still using your original td for your sonar? I am not, and the Xi-5 uses only 83/200. Should that be what I select? I've brought up my split screens, and I have sonar at those frequencies as well as side scan at 455. I think I can change my downscan from 455 to 800 also. In other words, it appears to work, but I'm not sure what the images will look like when I actually get on the water.

Yes I am using the TD from my Elite 7HDI. I swapped it out with Lowrance after I had problems with it. The HDS7 touch was a compatible swap, so I still have the TD along with the LSS2. I was so afraid on knocking the LSS2 off fishing some of our stump infested waters that I bought one of the clamp on transducer mounts from BPS to mount it on. I can raise and lower it to get it out of the water when needed.
