Dumb Boat Question?

May be the wrong place to ask this question but I figure there are a few knowledgeable folks on here. I haven't enough room to park my boat out of the weather,
but I do have a cover on it, everything but the prop. With the motor trimmed up and the prop catching all this rain, where does the water go? Told you it was a dumb question. Lol!

It sits in the collar of the lower unit just behind the prop until you lower the motor or it dries out.

Does it hurt anything?

Ever seen what happens when a water line freezes? Not a good idea to store it trimmed up in the winter. Shouldnt be a problem otherwise.

I have allows heard don't leave your motor trimmed up in the winter but I have never seen anything happen to a motor that was trimmed up all winter. Other than the winter it doesn't hurt anything.

My mech. agrees.

You could always trim the motor down when it is sitting at your house.

Probably what I will do from now on. Hope we don't have to worry about freezing any more till Christmas. hee hee

I keep mine covered and stored in shop and i still trim mine down during the winter... Just not worth taking the chance

I trim down when I get off the lake and let it drain. Transport up, then at home, down.
