lake Weiss campgrounds
Hello to all the fine folks in Alabama, we just found this site and it looks to packed with a lot of info and tips we have a lot of reading to do lol. This our first post
We have a question, we are planning to come down to the lake and was wondering if there is a campground with a ramp that we can back our boat in with our RV, has a slip or dock that we could tie up to and walk back and forth with our fishing tackle and maybe a restaurant or two close by to eat at. We have looked up some of the campgrounds on the web but all they say is they have a dock to fish off of. Or a campground that anyone would recommend or one to stay away from. They all look very nice and clean, any help would be very appreciated.

Most of the capmgrounds I can think of are permanant. You might call little river Marina or Pruitts campground. Plenty of places to eat in Center. Rome Ga not far to the east and Gadsden not far to the west both those have bunches of resturants. Wish I Knew for sure about R.V. park. Maybe Some of these other local boys can help you

Pruett's camp ground, there are two, the one by the paddle boat, ran by a guy named Kelly. Very clean and quiet camp ground. Kelly is an avid crappie fisherman usually knows what areas to start fishing. Location at the mouth of Cowan creek.
