Expert help
Need you guys help. Had a friend over yesterday looking at my painting setup. He asked me a question I had no answer for. Here is the question. Is there a Florescent powder that can be added to plain powder? I had never thought about it. Have just bought Floro named paint. What makes Floro paint?
Not talking about Glow.

Wondering if he means a plain fluorescent powder mixed to any color to make that color a fluorescent color - I'm thinking no on that one. Plain powder?? red powder, yellow powder or is plain powder referring to clear powder paint.
All the fluorescent colors I have can be made somewhat brighter by using a white powder paint base coat.
Gonna be fun to see where this one goes!!LOL

Yes, Doug I'm thinking a Floro powder to add to a non Floro powder to make Standard color like a blue Fluorescent Blue. Like I said I have never seen just a Fluorescent powder to add to other colors. Figure someone out there must know the answer to this one. In fact I thought you might be that guyrotfl

Good question. Somebody has to know. Heck, they make blue, and floro blue.... wonder if they simply add something to it or if it is a whole different process?

Went looking and found fl. powder paint colors, but not just Floro. but truthfully that doesn't mean anything either!!LOL I'd call him and ask him exactly what he meant or what he's trying to do. Starting to wonder if he's thinking UV coat?? but that's like a clear epoxy as far as I know.

I've never seen or heard of such a powder.

No Doug, I asked him that question. He was wondering if there was a powder that would make it Florescent. Didn't know so got me to wondering.

Ansewer i got back in email from one vendor who sells and works with powder. Waiting on a couple of other replies.
Interesting question. No it doesn’t work that way. To me it just means “Bright Color”. For example some of the fluorescent colors we sell would be Yellow Chartreuse, Hot Pink, Blaze Orange, Bright Green, etc… kinda like saying Neon
