Clinton Saturday and Sunday
I picked up my pontoon boat Saturday morning from the sandblaster that glass beaded the logs back to bare aluminum, removing several coats of paint and 1/4" of dried moss. Now my work begins getting it ready for the lake. I used a scotch bright pad on a buffer to smooth the surface then applied a product called Alumitron to keep the aluminum from tarnishing. After that dries for several days then the real work begins applying a final wax called VS721 that leaves the hull so slick that moss and zebra mussels can not stick.
I did have enough time to dock fish, but found out from other dock fishermen the bite happens after 5PM, but I was worn out too much to stay late.
Now that the hard work is done, hopefully I will have some days this week that I can work on the boat then fish until dark.
Was any of you guys fishing just outside the marina cove Saturday or Sunday and how did you do?
My list of things that needs to be done on my boat will take me 2-3 weeks to get done before it goes in the lake.
