I'm looking ahead here but need to get my rig set up with some new lighting for summer... any suggestions?? I prefer a normal white bulb and need to light up more of the boat rather than the water

Crappiehabits and I do a right smart of night fishin and we actually mounted a bumper light for a truck on the top of a 5 foot piece of aluminum channel and it sits in one of our monster rod holders. It's enough to light up all of our rod tips an plenty for inside the boat also. We put some aluminum backing behind the light for reflection. Crappiehabits can probably get you a pic. I'll ask. Hope this helps.
I'll get a pic posted up tomorrow.
i made this LED lite from a trailer lite and a clamp lite.
works great. nice white lite, and draws hardly nothing.

We usually have the light straight off the side of the boat but I didn't have room to do it in the barn. The yellow piece is just a scrap piece of metal we put on there to keep the direct light out of our eyes while sitting in the boat. It lights up the inside of the boat pretty good. Also, being on a 6ft pole, it keeps all the bugs out away from us and the boat. We used a cheap automotive fog light from the parts store. It's sealed from moisture and pretty durable.
Get on Amazon and get some of the led strip lights. They come in a bunch of colors, they are waterproof, easy to install (make sure you get the ones with the sticky backing). They work great. Best of all they are pretty inexpensive I think about $8 a roll. Attachment 193483Attachment 193481
They also use very little battery
