Condo building parties?
OK,
For all of the die hards, etc. does anyone have plans to do any condo building anytime soon? I've got 2 christmas trees, buckets, bamboo, pvc, everything but the cement right now to do several condos, but would like to know if anyone is planning on doing any of this anytime soon. I want to put condos out on lakes other than my own, because there is too much crappie structure on my lake, and I would also like to get together with some of the faces that I read posts from. I wouldn't mind putting condos out anywhere from Catherine, Hamilton,AR river, greers ferry, or maumelle, anywhere that it is legal (1), and where people with experience (2) fishing these waters go that would share any local advice regarding good spots for condos. Also, any knowledge regarding how long you should wait before starting fishing them. I've heard everything from 2 weeks to 3 months, souring wood, fishing christmas trees before the needles fall off, etc. I know there are some good sources on this site, but would like to hear some personal experience. Now is the time to put those condos out!!

Hey Randy,
Sounds great to me. I would like to do the same. I put a post on here about a week ago about gettin together and chattin and workin on our boats or planning condo parties, goin over maps, tradin way points, etc.... Would be happy for anyone that wanted to come to my place of business on a weeknight or weekend. Have lots of parking, right off I-30 at Bryant. So, not to far out.
Would like to get Wally Marshell DVD set and have a watch party.
Didn't get many replies. But I think that is a great idea for those of us that aren't pro's and get to do it as much as they do. We could get a lot done that way.
Let me know what you think.

Been looking for Slabbandit on the site. We are suppose to put out some tops in Nimrod Lake. I will start real soon with or without help. I will be putting most up the river this time. The last ones put in have already started producing a few.:D

Hey Randy:
We've been "doing the boo" every chance we get since early fall but we never know for sure when both Darryl and I will be off at the same time to work on them so it's hard to plan ahead.
We start fishing our bamboo beeds right after we put them in. They don't always produce big numbers right away but we can usually catch a fish or two off of them if the depth we put them is right for the current lake level and time of year.

Anytime you guys get ready, count me in. (Availability may be limited due to family/work.) I would like to get with Jerry Blake and get some out on Degray one weekend. That would help us all out and help his business out as well

Things will get pretty busy after the 1st. But, I may be able to pull a weekend thing. Let us know.
BTW...I would like to get a pile going on CC. I know the thought of putting cover in that lake is doubtful, but if you think about it...all of the cover out there is the same. Some bamboo out there might be the ticket if the crappie are looking for something a little different.

I am in if we can agree on a central local to dump em.

ceb, lets hook up one weekend. You got some boo? I have friggen TONS and TONS of switch cane that we can "try" if you don't have access to some boo. Blocks are pretty cheap as well. This can be a "one off" on Cane Creek from the rest of the parties. (still interested in doing those as well.)

That friend of mine, which had that horrible accident as a child, has some access to boo. I'm sure he wouldn't mind us getting a little boo, as long as you don't speak about the way he leans to the side and drools on himself while sitting in the boat...

There has been a few times I have leaned to the side and drooled on myself too! (Luckily I had a designated boat driver:D )
