Is the lake still iced? Can I get up and down a ramp? I am about 30 minutes from the lake, and haven't been by since all this ice and snow. I would like to go Wednesday if we don't get another 3 inches tonight! I'm tired of being inside!

Pretty sure my question has been answered and is no longer relevant!!
LOL... you could get in below chilhowee dam.
Fishorhunt, it may come to that, but I'm not that desperate yet! After this snow, I can't get the boat out of the backyard without tearing it up anyway.
The ramp isn't steep and usually thaws pretty quick and I've never seen the lake froze up at the ramp. HOWEVER, that stretch of 129 after you pass where 72 comes in stays SLICK. I had a truck meet me going sideways on that curve last week but he straightened it out just as we about hit. Talk about puckered up....
That would make anybody pucker! They might bite like crazy tomorrow, but I guess I won't find out. I grew up in Walland, so I spent a lotta time in the Chilhowee Lake area. Usually went over the parkway.
