Ok so I have a lowrance hds5x and I got it right around Xmas just the unit itself. I went out today and got a transom mount transducer for it part number hst wsbl 106 72 I was just curious if that will allow the structure scan to work as well with that transducer.
No you will need a LSS 2 box and transducer. About $400
The LSS 1 will work as well
are you serious lol 400 just for transducer to make the structure scan work thats crazzzy
i won the fish finder on this website and now to make all functions work i will have to spend 400 on a transducer.

Actually, you need the LSS 1 or 2 transducer AND the structure scan black box and Ethernet cable for structure scan to function. The LSS 1 might be cheaper, and depending on length of Ethernet cable needed, a new 15' cable is ~$50.Quote:
