The WX forecast is for low 20s Thursday night, below freezing on Friday, and low 20s Friday night. What do you guys think the NW will be like after 36 hours below freezing?

As an update, my buddy and I were crazy enough to try to fish the NW River yesterday. We used our anchors to bust the ice at the ramp. We were hoping the ice might have been just thin enough that we could use the boat to break it. Bad idea. The ice was still more than 2" thick yesterday. It wouldn't surprise me at all if it's frozen all week and this weekend. Looking at the 10-day forecast, I don't see area waters thawing enough to fish until early next week.

I can remember a couple of times as a kid duck hunting...one guy hanging over the bow with a sledgehammer and the other driving the boat. The dekes froze in the water, mid hunt.

Hey Bill we need another poll for the next date for the bash. I think the fishing will get better in March from my experience from fishing the N/W river for over 30 years. And yes even the Y/P will still be there.
