Norman troll

My brother came up from Raleigh to stay a couple days and wanted to go to Norman to catch some spotted bass. Caught our limit and he ended up with his best ever Norman striper. 32 inches long. I normally don't keep stripers from Norman this time of year because there not stocked, but thought my brother was gonna have a heart attack when I mentioned releasing it. Water temp in little creek where we put in was around 43 but caught most of the fish in 46 degree water towards marshal steam plant. All on down riggers.

Very nice! I would likely select that one for harvest also; they are good eating and if they aren't managing stock so we can keep one every now and then they either need to change the regs or manage differently.:twocents
