What do you think guys? Will these work out or no?
Don't see why not. I would think natural structure, like tree limbs, while not as long lasting as PVC, would form algae and attract minnows and game fish better than most anything else.
Use a "cherry" colored jig when fishing that brush. They should work fine,,that's all that used to be sunk was real wood or bamboo. My uncle told me he used plum trees, the little small ones that grew wild, with good success.Ive got plenty of bamboo, all sizes if anyone wants any for brush,or tomato stakes.
The only problem you "might" have is that theyll turn over and not stand straight up.
I havent tried it myself but I read somewhere that you can tie a 2 liter bottle to the top of the brush and it will help keep it upright at least as it falls.
Jugs will keep them upright. Those will put many many crappie in your boat, good work.
Great brush pile. Try a large Styrofoam block to keep brush upright. The jugs will leak overtime.
guess I'm a bit slow, but what does it matter if it lays sideways vs straight up?
Thanks guys!!! Will try the jug or the styrofoam.
Sure looks big,
A small boat would have a time with it.
