Your baitfish tend to be larger this time of year. But you have to get bait in front of fish to get bit as they may not move far to take a bait. I only use jigs these days and catch fish. I know guys using minnows catching on big minnows but even catching on dead ones. Ever lake and season Crappie can be acting different.
thanks Nimrod,,,, I was fishing over on Sardis yesterday and saw tons of boat but not many fishng getting caught,,, seems the ones catching fish were the guys jigging with single poles as I was spider rigging with critter Gitters and tipped with small minnows,,,, I may have to switch up and see what they want
Take both sizes and the fish will tell you what they want. It happened to me yesterday.
