Trip to KY Lake

I wanna take a trip down to Kentucky lake sometime soon. Not gonna take my boat; just gonna hire a guide as I will only have a weekend to fish. Gonna bring my dad with me. My questions are as follows:

1. Guide suggestions? When to come?
2. Places to stay?


Thanks guys from Illinois! I'm so ready to fish but our lakes are FROZE OVER pretty thick.

Look up wiskers on the ky forum. We stay at moors on the northern side of ky lake. Middle of april to middle of march.
