Bobby Garland Baby Shad, Charlie Brewer Sliders, Mid south tubes. Marabou Jigs
1/8 oz. Road Runner Head, Bobby Garland Baby Shad body, Crappie Nibbles on the hook, and a splash of Fish Attractant (they're all good)!
My absolute favorite lure is a 1/16th pink road runner head with a baby shad stinger made by LURES BY CARTER. The lure would be chartreuse and fished under a slip float. My second favorite would be a teardrop ice fishing lure I also make. You asked....I tell you I have confidence in the lures I personally handcraft.

For the last two seasons, the BG Baby Shads have out produced everything else in my tackle box. And pink/chartreuse seems to be the best color. Fished on a 1/16 oz. plain jig head. I'm also a fan of the roadrunner types with tied marabou, slow rolled along the bottom. And if it's ice out, it is hard to beat a plain 1/32 oz. marabou jig (or two in tandem) fished below a bobber. :)

Bobby Garland baby shad blue ice and monkeys milk get my vote
Bobby Garland baby shad and some hand ties
It would be a tie between a 1/16oz marabou Roadrunner in solid chartreuse and a 1/16oz ball head weedless (Y guard) jighead with a blue/char solid body plastic minnow (custom made). The Roadrunner for open water, and the weedless jig for probing cover.

I use a lot of Bobby Garland baby shad's and some hand ties that I make.
