Curing and packaging
This has probably been covered before, but I'm new to all this plastisol fun. How long should I allow for curing? Also how do you store them? If I wanted to give some as gifts, when I put them in little zip locks it's a fight! What do you do? When you put the product in Baggies? Is there an oil or additive that won't effect plastisol ? What about salt? Do you put any in your soft plastic's after your finished? Not while your cooking the raw plastisol. If there is a right way that works so I can shorten my learning curve I would be very thankful😉 LB

Worm oil helps bagging in any bag. I put a couple drops in the empty bag and then rub the two sides together from outside, then add the baits. Now is when scent can be added too. Some people will add salt, its a personal preference thing....want salt, add it. Salt helps prevent the plastics from hanging on to each other.
On curing. If its cold out, I let my trays of plastic sit on the garage bench for a day. In warmer weather I slide my trays in the fridge for 8 hours or so. Thicker baits take longer to cure and most all of mine are what you'd call small to medium small.

I make mine on a day, let cure overnight laid out on a table. Bag up the next morning with anise oil (worm oil).

I let mine cure for roughly a day on a oil pan I purchased at Wal-Mart.

Once cured I throw bait in a pyrex bowl with 4-5 drops worm oil and roll around with hand to get them all covered. I then drop 4-5 drops in the bag, throw bait in and shake within bag. Finally I open bag and position bait how I like by pushing bait around with my finger on the outside of the bag and then seal bag.
I don't use scents except Slab Slobber when needed so I have no comment on this subject.
