Tarpon Lake Jan 22 beetlespin action

Fished Tarpon Lake out of Anderson park 10 am-2 pm. Caught about 50 including 4 bass to 3 lbs. Kept 16 bream to 9 in and 16 crappie to 13 in. Was using beetlespin with brass blade on all 8 rods. All chartreuse jig color. Four were long lining and other four with 3/4 oz egg sinkers close to boat. Caught about 60% long lining. Cloudy to partly cloudy, east wind 5-10. Water temp 64 and air temp 75. Fished 9-12 row. Catching was fun. Cleaning not as much fun. But eating will be good. Grateful for another productive safe trip. Couple years ago started always wearing life vest, am used to it now. Praise the Lord.

Thats a fine mess of fish right there. Thanks for the report. Use a lot of Roadrunners, never thought about pullin some beetle spins. Have to give em a go round and see.

Ive been longlining pullin beetlespins mainly and doing fairly well with them. Gotta try done road runners

I started with Beetlespins in the mid 90's. Lake Beresford with a 2hp kicker. Another tool in the arsenal. I use the Arkie add on spinners with whatever jig appeals to me instead of the higher priced Beetlespins. Don't forget to add a couple of larger blade sizes to the spread. The tiny ones were what I used to use and I ran out one day, the bigger blade was all I had and let me troll a bit slower and made a difference that day.

Nice mix, I luv the white split grub w/red dot on chest beetle spin 1/8 oz & caught many of my larger one's in stained waters.
