You are pretty close to the southern end of Lake Guntersville.
Logan Martin, Neely Henry and Weiss all within an hour to hour and a half
And Lay Lake, Mitchel lake, both within an hour and a half drive
Logan Martin will be your closest major lake (30 minutes from Leeds to Town & Country or Lakeside Landing). I understand that crappie can be had in Lake Purdy off Hwy 119 between Leeds and Hwy 280 (15-20 minutes) but it's rental boats only and HP restricted. I have great memories of catching coolers full of slab shellcrackers as a kid but have never fished for crappie.
