I have been fighting the wind shooting piers with jigs with no luck. I even went last Monday and Tuesday for a few hours without a bite. I tried long lining jigs with no luck...water is 40 degrees and one day it was 45 degrees...Any one having any luck?
I have fished Neely Henry 2 times this week. I have spider rigged and cast jigs. I caught 26 on Tuesday and 14 today. Only had about 3-4 keepers each day, lots of 5-9 inch fish. Showed water temps of 45 both days. I have caught them all up creeks away from the river channel real tight in cover and from 8-18 feet deep. Other places I tried I did not get a bite. Hope it will warm up soon and get better but its not looking like it according to the weather forecast.
I've tried same things it feels like last couple times I went out with no luck.... Been real hard fishing!
Thanks for the replies fellas...I live close to the Southside bridge and the closest creek is Canoe and that is a long cold run lol
I'm thinking of going to either neely or Logan martin tomorrow... I'm gonna have to talk my self into fighting the wind I fish out of a pontoon so it's like a floating dock.
