Electrical PVC
Why can't you legally use "white" PVC, for electrical applications? Would have made life a lot easier, had to go out of town for a "gray" fitting. FYI, this job was indoors.
also, why do the stores not carry 1 1/2" offset meter adapters? Found 2" & 1 1/4", none had 1 1/2".

Electrical PVC is made different from the white. Its more durable ( not as brittle) , has UV inhibitors so sunlight doesn't degrade it when used outside. It is colored gray to show that it is electrical, so you know at a glance what the pipe should contain, just like buried gas pipes are yellow. Call before you dig marks the ground with corresponding colors when they do a survey before excavation. So that you know what lines are marked. Common sizes for meter pipping are 1 1/4" and 2" its hard to find a meter hub in 1 1/2 " or at least it is for the brand of meter bases used down this way.
