I have quite a few pallets to make into crappie condos. Just wondering what is best to tie the cinder blocks with. Will probably use two blocks per condo. Post pics if anyone has done anything similar to this. Thanks.

I haven't dropped any wood pallets yet but did the research and found that the thin double wall cinder blocks from Home Depot fit in the slats easily and can be tied to the pallet with weed eater line or wire. I plan on putting one block on each side for a total of two blocks each. This will make it sit flat and not turn over or be moved easily.
Get the jumbo sized 14" thick walled variety cement block and secure it dead center on the bottom of the pallet. This accomplishes adding additional cover under the pallet on all but thick mud bottoms making it last longer. Use strong weed eater line or light steel cable placed thru 10 hole bricks inside the block for crawdads and for extra weight. Will GUARENTEE that the centered 14" block plus 4 10 hole bricks WILL sink it; no problem...
I use rocks I pick up for free. The thing is to get right size to jam in corners. Caution if you use blocks they can cause pallet stake beds to flip.
But not if they are on the bottom, dead centered...and a 14" block WILL sink just about any pallet.
Use big plastic zip ties. I use 3fters. i like to make triangle shaped condos using 3 pallets. Zip tie them together and sploosh! takes more weight to sink them though.
Could tie some osage orange, locust or even fruit tree branches inside...
I need to brush up on my tree identification. Pun intended! I really don't know the difference between an oak tree and a sage bush.
It's all hype!:) If you only have a "Honey Hole" or two and are able to put cover out every year or so, then Christmas Trees, 'Boo, Fruit Trees, and other Soft Wood are just fine!
Some of us, had a Big lake to cover and needed to use Permanent or Long Lasting Wood because we are just getting Old and Lazy and don't want to do it anymore:)...we all wanted to stop putting Cover in, so we can "Kick Back", enjoy the "Fruits Of Our Labor", and Relax!:):):)lol
