2015's First Trip
Dwyane and Laikyn hosted me on a trip to Bundick's Lake yesterday. Beautiful day and fine company - and we didn't freeze our butts off or sink! Sadly, though, in three hours of efforts Dwyane was the only member of the party to get thumped - and that was from a young channel cat.
The water was pretty grungy, and it seemed like a lot of submerged structure had been removed - we sure didn't add much to the lake's lead problem yesterday!
Anyway, I had a great time - hope they did too!Attachment 186843Attachment 186848

Pete, glad you got to enjoy yourself with some very fine company. Too bad the fish didn't want to join y'all for supper. Maybe next time.
Linda and i went this afternoon for 3 hours. One small bass, one large something that I thought was a bass but he never showed himself. He was putting on a great fight and all of a sudden, a slack line. Didn't lose my jig just the fish. Later while talking on the phone with my pole resting and my jig overboard, wham. I pull it to the surface and it was a slab and he too let go. :dono Don't know why, the hook was sharp, in fact brand new. Oh well, as soon as the water warms a little more they will get active. Today the water was 56 degrees. Looking forward to 60 plus.
