Well after a 0 bust day on Darbonne Thursday, I decided to make the trip to Poverty Point Friday evening. Caught 3 crappie and 1 goo in 4 hours. Caught 1 crappie about 14 inches on a jig and the other 2 where about 12 inches on minnows. The coves are loaded down with shad, but very few fish showing up on sonar. Only seen 2 other boats fishing, one guy bass fishing said he had been there since 9am and had 0 bites, the other was crappie fishing and had not caught any either. The ones I caught where about 18 feet deep, water temp was 42 degrees.
