How come I am get the impurities in my paint job. Will they work the impurities out when baking. These are my first time painting with powder paint. Could it be I am get jig to hot or not holding jig in paint long enough?

Good looking jigs!! Won a tour on ouachita with jigheads like those a smooth jig head would not catch a fish!! Need a little more heat!!! Practice,Practice!!!!
-
See if they smoke after dipping in the powder, if they do.... too hot, if not, then try a little more heat
-
Ok more heat Ill try, I melted the lead off the first one :biggrin so I back off the heat thinking I get to hot.

Remember you don't hold the jig in the paint, just dip and out because the heat will draw the paint to the head. If you have to much paint they will run down the jig and form a point when cured.
Welcome to painting with powder :)

I dip and swirl. Don't forget to cure em

Not bad for the first ones - you'll get better with practice.

You have now found the reason that I hate to paint. LOL The second batch looks great and I think my first batched looked like your first ones. Keep at it and it will become second nature.
