I was told Friday night a man and his wife were in a canoe at Cane Creek lake and capsized,the woman made it to shore but the man did not.Im not sure if they have found him or not.Charlotte fire dept dive team was there along with Monroe FD.Lets keep this family in our thoughts and prayers.

Prayers sent. Canoe's are dangerous to me they seem to be never had one and never want one. Take note guys its up to us to keep safe out on the water. God be with his family:pray
That's awful. I've been there. A few years back my girlfriend's cousin drowned at Lake Waccamaw. There were three of them in a very small jonboat and it got choppy and they capsized. Two teenagers drowned and a third made it to shore. This was in January, so the cold water didn't help. Hope the divers can find the man.
According to the news , they have suspended the search until Tuesday. I feel for the family , especially having to deal with such a thing at the start of a new year.
