mr. crappie solo reels
got 3 of these for christmas and i think they are going to be great for vertical giging. they have got an actual drag instead of just a tension screw. u can also simply strip line off instead of having to flip a switch. the spool is designed so if u do have to reel it takes up line faster than the others i have used. all the internal components are stainless and the body is a carbon alloy. it may fall apart after a month but at this point i'd have to give it an A+. we'll see.

I also like mine, and plan to try them while spider rigging shallow water.

Put em on all my jig poles. They work well. Small, light, easy to use and like you stated, the drag option is great.

Been using one for a little while for single point. Excellent product. My only complaint is that if you loosen the spool nut too much it can back off on its own with turning the spool and allow the spool to come off. Just have to keep an
Eye on it.

I have one and really like it. Just bought one of the new B&M reels but haven't had a chance to use it. I like it because it fits closer to the rod and is even lighter. With the crank mounted to be turned backward with left hand it puts line right next to the rod. Drag works just like the WM. Seems like it is going to be a good reel also.

I'm thinking about getting one also but was wondering if it has the free spool option?

I have 3 of them. When they first came out I had to have 2 of them replaced as they couldn't be made left and right handed. Out of the 3, I have one that is now no good and does not function properly. The longevity of them has not been great for me so far. I am not sure if the warranty on them but for the money probably not bad with 2/3 still working good.

Take a pair of pliers or something and rough up he end of the threads. Will keep it from coming off at least.
