Old Evinrude makeover
Gave the old 1975 Evinrude a makeover this past fall. Before & After..If anybody happens to see me on Bistineau or Dorcheat I should be easy to spot now. Now Im working on getting it to run as good as it looks. I believe Ive got most of the bugs worked out.

Ought to be able to spot that. Is it on a progator boat?
I had a 1975 Gator Honcho with a 115 Johnson that I loved. Had the motor bored and racing pistons installed that made it a 135 after I neglected to foam the cylinders one winter and pulled the rings off the pistons.
Them Gators boats are tough boats.

Yessir its a 1989 progator. They're tough unless the previous owner neglected a hole in the flooring and water infiltrated and saturated the foam while sitting uncovered for 3 years. I managed to get a good bit out of it. Waiting for some hot weather to dry it out a little more before I put the floor cutouts back in it and glass it back over. The boat makeover coming this summer. Lots of rhino liner in the plans.

Those old Evinrudes and Johnsons were tough motors. I could get 10 years out of them fishing all summer and running a duck camp out of them every fall. On the duck hunts, we were running in the woods in the lower White River bottoms. Finding stumps, cypress knees, logs and other items that were not supposed to be where they were. This new equipment is nice but it won't take the abuse we dolled out to the old motors. Too much plastic on them now .

That is a very Worthwhile Project and nice Ride

Thanks everybody...I sold my big ski boat when I moved back home from Washington state..found this one for a steal even though it needed lots of work.
Yall know what BOAT stands for right...Break Out Another Thousand.. But Luckily this older combo keeps it more like Break Out Another Twenty.. After Twenty After Twenty After Twenty....:biggrin Its fun though. I really enjoying tinkering with it.
