I been using same rods for trolling and spider riging I got 4 pinacals rods (2) 12ft & (2) 10 ft & (4) 10ft b&m rods that I relly like wonting 14ft or 16ft rods for spider fishing only getting where that's what I do most here lately just wondering yalls favorite not trying to put down no ones rods just wont to be happy with what I end up with
My first choice would be southern crappie rods. Second choice would be crappie max or the one walley Marshall has now that he is not affiliated with bass pro.

Opinions are like belly buttons, we all have one and they're all different, but I have never regretted the purchase of my B-N-M Pro Staff Trolling Rods. I use them for spider rigging as well as long lining both jigs and cranks. Probably going to put them to use tomorrow and try some early season long lining jigs at Logan Martin. I've never used the Southern rods but have heard nothing but good things. If you go with the B-N-M PST's, Monk's Crappie in NC has good pricing and volume discounts. It might not matter, but I prefer to have all of the same brand/model of rods whether pushing or pulling. Merry Christmas.

I use Lite Wire 1/32 - 1/16th sickle hook jigs with a Southern Pro or Big Bite Curly Tail Grub Black/Chart,and various BG bodies/colors.
I agree with ccollins on the Southern ones bought 4 16' last year,going to buy 4 more this year.

My tourney partner has all BGJPs and they are great rods. I have crappiemaxx and west point. All I have is 12' I need 2 16s and 2 14s. I hope these southerns are what I like
Falconsmitty, the southern a are a little bit limber at the tip compared to the crappie max don't know what u really like but thought I would throw that in seeing u are going to have both I have both also but don't have a problem one other thing about any rod you choose is to make sure you can get original replacement tips at a decent cost. Some places will sell u a tip but it's not original.

Sounds like they are great pulling poles. I sometimes use 1oz-2oz sinker so limber is not good. I push 90%.
