The Hook in these are the eagle claw little nasty jig hooks #4 and # 2!! Heat hook up just a little(count to 3) on side of hot melter with needle nose pliers bend with needle nose below bend in hook eye!! NOT in the bend of hook!! Will break!!
Nice Jackie. I see you are an inventor and major modifier also. I had the teardrop mold and did not like how far it pushed the bait back. Great idea on the hooks. Those Do - it hooks are high dollar sometimes. How are you doing the wire keeper? I do mine with a dremal and yours look a lot cleaner. Have you thought about filling in the nub of the bat jig. I don't like that part. I always enjoy seeing what you got up your sleeve. what catalogue are the hooks. It looks like a Hagens! Thanks for sharing!!! Lurepartsonline in back of each of their catalog, hook chart in Barlows tackle!! Barlows list the dia of a 1/0 hook by each hook co. real handy!! We crappie fish and smallmouth and walleye fish so we need a different size hook in each of our molds.Cannot go to wal-mart and buy these baits!! My Boss has a top end cannon!! She says I never listen or something like that!! LOL!! the little spur actually helps hold the keeper in place!! Thought I would not like it but after several pours with and without!! Someone took a hard look at this mold!! Very well thought out!!We added a wire guard!!
