I had a slip there last season and only fished for crappie once in the spring and once in the fall. Caught a couple 14 inch and a 9 inch in the fall. Seemed like the only time I could get on any bluegill was if I was the only one in the boat.

Wow guess I am the only one on here that fishes there.
A long, long time ago I caught gills mid-summer just inside the south idle zone. Tightlining crickets really deep (20 fow+/-). Sorry I can't be more help.
I wasn't really looking for help. I was just wondering if anyone fished there. I have found a few spots. I tend to catch gills up by the alpha marina and down by the amphitheater. I have a spot I have found that I hit like 10 really nice size ones in late may and big crappie this past fall.
It seems for me the tactic is to stay tight to the grass and bring crickets and bee moths because the bite changes mid day
I have family in that area and have fished there for all my life. I don't get down there as frequently as I used to but usually hit it a at least a few times in the spring and fall.
