New Windows 7 Patch Is Badware, Disables Graphics Driver Updates And Windows Defender - Forbes
This update is due to come out tomorrow the 16th of Dec.
My Windows 7 unit is set to automatically and doesn't show the update or the patch. The latest update is a newer version than the one listed in the link so maybe Microsoft pulled the bad update.
He says it is due out tomorrow but I find it hard to believe that they would release it with known problems. But then it is Microsoft.

I have my computer set up so as to duel boot to either win 7 or 8.1 , which ever I pick. I looked at the win 7 updates and that number is not there but it is there in the 8.1 updates. Hmmmmm , what gives here.
I always update and that patch has already been applied to my computer and I have no issues. This may just be with certain configurations and computers. Check closely. The update is recommenced and not needed it states.
