Below is a cropped image from a picture I took Sunday when I got home. There was one fish that has me puzzled. Is it possible that a bass and a sac-au-lait (crappie) cross bred?

Thats a white crappie....they have pretty big mouths
Post the picture of the other white sacalait with the much smaller mouth
I've cropped the image to put it next to another white crappie, I guess maybe it's because the stripes are more distinctive that he stood out!

now yall see what i have to put up with in the boat all day!!!!! you finally catch a couple fish and you start getting all conceded i see how it is!!!! i guess we will have to start tagging them so we can see who caught what!!! you better tell Nicole to get ready to start cooking again whenyou go fishing!!!!!rotflrotfl
Maybe its a gender thing? :)
Bass & Crappie cannot crossbreed. The stretched out Crappie is merely a growth rate thing. And White Crappie are generally always "longer" than a Black Crappie of the same age/weight.
