LSS2 placement
I could have sworn I posted this but I must not have hit the send button so I'll try again. Based on your comments, I placed the LSS2 transducer as close to the centerline as possible without interfering with the outboard motor. I am curious as to whether the transducer will pick up interference from the foot of the motor since it is below and to one side of it. I am sure several of you have similar mountings so have you had a problem with the DF pinging the foot of the motor????

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes it will. I trim my motor up to get rid of most of it.

You could see a lot of turbulence (interference ?) from the prop while easing along. If your boat has a stepped transom you could mount the LSS2 under the step, provide some protection and move it away a bit from the LU. I have a LSS1 on my boat and get some prop wash showing up on my set up at the very top of the screen.

trim motor for SI, no issues for DI

I get prop wash and some lower unit showing on my left side. Not as bad in deeper water as it shows up close to the center line. Like others, I trim the motor while fishing.
