Your worst crappie fishing day
I was just thinking about my worst day ever crappie fishing. Funny now but not so funny then, I was launching my boat on the Arkansas river when I forgot to tie my launch rope off to the trailer. I was alone with no one else around. Well you guessed it, I launched it right off the trailer and watched it come off the trailer, and just keep on going down the Arkansas River with the current.
It was warm so I decided to quickly strip down and swim for it not wanting to see my boat slam into the dam just down river. I was lucky to grab the rope and swim it back to the boat ramp. Just a lil embarrassed but hey no body needed to know.
Next I motor five miles up river to a favorite fishing hole catch a couple of keepers and not much else. I decide it's time to call it a day. Guess what my motor wont start...it's getting dark, a storm is coming right for me, and not another boat in sight.
To make a long story short it was a long hard ride back to the boat ramp with only a trolling motor, two fish, and being pelted with wind, rain, hail, and lightning zooming by in the air. It was my worst crappie fishing day ever and one that I would just as soon forget about.
What's Yours?
P.S> The two fish got a Pardon.
