Looking for hunting spot(mostly for next year)

I've got a 1/4 section leased about 40 minutes outside of Enid. Have had it for 3 years and it's been pretty terrible. I've been trying for two seasons now to get my 14 yo son his first buck and we've just not had any luck at all, my 9 yo is suppose to get his turn after his big brother so he is chomping at the bit. It looks great but we've seen a total of 3 deer in three years on the place. I've kept it because, 1. I haven't been able to find anything else and 2. With the drought I've been trying to give it a chance. Anyway, enough whining. I am starting my search early and am determined to find something better for next season. What I am looking for: A long term lease so I can manage for mature deer, keep year round blinds, ability to add food plots a plus. Deer for sure, turkeys prefered, and waterfowl a huge bonus. I am primarily a bow hunter and will have both boys proficient and confident with their bows by next year so a bow only place wouldn't be a bad thing. On my own or in a like minded, safety conscious group if the place is big enough. I would like at least 500 acres but even more if it is a like minded group, less if it is in the right spot(I've got a friend who lives on 60 acres and has killed 2 180 inch deer off of it in 3 years, I wouldn't complain about a place like that. LOL). I don't mind a drive but would prefer north central to NW Oklahoma.

I know this is a crappie board but with this off topic area I thought I'd at least give it a try. I am planning on trying every avenue I can think of to find something. Thanks for any help y'all can give.

The deer population in NW Okla have been decimated by the drought over the last 3 years. A friend hunted Beaver WMA last weekend and saw nothing. The manager indicated that the deer numbers are way down. Drought kills.

You are right but the closest is an hour away, and you have to draw to rifle hunt it.

Yep, that's why I've hung onto this place just hoping that was the main issue. We're going to keep hitting it hard though, with a creek, rifle season, and the rut, you never know what may come passing through.

Oklahoma has some great public hunting. You have to put in the leg work to scout, but I have stuck some good ones and laid eyes on a few giants. This year I put in 4 or 5 days scouting at 10-15 miles a day and found some great areas. Nailed this one yesterday with a 270, the mount is from bow hunting last year. The smaller scrape is from the buck I killed yesterday, if he does that, what kind of monster tears up 8 inch ceder trees like in that 4th pick? Whatever tore up that tree did 8 others also.
