Can regular hydraulic fluid for fork lift be used in a tilt and trim unit
Check your owners manual
Thanks captain obvious LOL what I mean is what is the difference looks the same feels the same smells the same taste the same I have 5 gallon buckets of forklift fluid that cost less than that little tube for the boat
Id use it....but that's just me. I have a 1975 unit that would probably run on orange juice. Its a hydraulic system with a high pressure pump and cylinders performing basically the same task. Compare the viscosities and make sure it isn't any thicker. Especially in colder weather..could overwork your pump if it is. But other than that - I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
Use it.
I'm the Gerber for not wording question properly hope I didn't offend
I would look at how often I had to fill the unit and weigh that cost against rebuilding or replacing the unit.
Use it.
have read in MY owners manual where ATF can be used in place of TNT fluid.
